7 Best Smelling Lacoste Perfumes for Women

Lacoste is a brand known for its historical roots in tennis and of course for that world famous polo shirt with the little alligator on the chest. However, it has expanded way beyond that into a complete fashion brand which naturally includes a perfume line. Lacoste does have some very good scents for both men and women.  In this post, I want to put forth to you, the seven best smelling options for ladies from this French brand.

What are the Top Ladies Perfumes by Lacoste?

Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Magnetic

This is one the came out after the original incarnation of the list, but might be the best overall perfume, from Lacoste. It’s kind of a toss up between Magnetic and Fraiche.

Nonetheless, Pour Elle Magnetic gives you a wonderful and pretty unique blend of mango, citrus, vanilla, and other sweet notes. It’s fruity with a base of light floral touches, a somewhat tropical fragrance, that is a great addition to the summer months.

Lacoste L.12.12 Eau Fraiche, Pour Elle, 1.7 oz

Eau Fraiche fragrances can be really hit or miss. I am especially hesitant with one from Lacoste, as the brand doesn’t always have the best longevity in their scents.

Even with that being the case, Eau Fraiche Pour Elle, is a really lovely fresh summery aquatic. Citrus, light floral notes, and that great refreshing watery vibe.

I really like the smell, but won’t put it at number 1, as the lightness and longevity are a concern. However, at the right price, this is a awesome little warm weather perfume.

Lacoste Touch Of Pink Eau De Toilette Spray for Women 3.0 fl.oz

Touch of Pink isn’t some stolid or heavy-scented mature fragrance. No, it is a clean and lively scent that projects a sexiness and youthful vibe that really grabs attention. Notes include: blood orange, jasmine, vanilla, coriander, cardamom, violet, and jasmine.

That’s not to say that this is a loud fragrance, it isn’t, just quite attractive with what it does. The peach and blood orange combination is great, but the fruits aren’t allowed to get too bold. Each is held in check, by wood, musk, and vanilla.

Very clean, easy to wear, lightly spiced, and was always a best seller. Touch of pink is a great daily wear, especially for younger women.

Lacoste Pour Femme Intense Eau de Parfum For Women, 1 Fl Oz

The Intense name is a bit of a misnomer as this Lacoste fragrance really doesn’t bring much of it. However, the aroma itself is actually very nice and has a rather unique blend of sandalwood and caramel.

The caramel is a nice warm sweetness up top, with a dry creamy/powdery quality coming through from the sandalwood. The dry down feels more musky, but it’s still a very attractive fragrance through the entirety.

Not a completely sweet gourmand, but more of a woody sweet blend overall, with hints of spice coming through. I like it, this does have something about it that I find attractive, even without being super complex or a powerhouse.

Lacoste Pour Femme Eau de Parfum for Women, 3.0 fl. oz.

The namesake of the brand, Pour Femme, is a noticeably feminine fragrance with plenty of floral notes and a hint of spice that helps bring it all together. This is a very good option for an everyday or signature fragrance.

Lacoste Pour Femme opens up with pineapple, citrus, and jasmine. It is juicy and light, without much of a sharp aroma from the fruity notes. As it moves along, the fruits take a backseat and you get more of a woody/floral scent.

Lacoste Pour Femme is a versatile scent, that eventually is highlighted by the jasmine, sandalwood, and vanilla. A very straightforward perfume, but one that still stands out as one of the brand’s best. Lacoste Pour Femme Review

Lacosté Love of Pink 3.0 fl. oz Eau de Toilette for Women

A bit of a different experience from Touch of Pink, this one changes up the notes a bit to include more woodsy/floral scents, which help to give it a beautiful and unique profile.

It still has the blood orange, found in Touch of Pink, but with added passion fruit. The dry down period, shies away from the citrus more so, and the floral notes really begin to emerge. Magnolia and particular.

Love of Pink is a simple and clean scent, not as good as Touch, but still worthy of a spot on this list.

Inspiration

This is a light and fresh scent, that, while airy is not weak and does have the ability to last far into the day. Pink pepper, mandarin orange, peony, vanilla, sandalwood, jasmine, and more.

Inspiration isn’t as well known and I don’t even think that it’s produced anymore. However, it was an underrated perfume, with a different style from the fruitier options from Lacoste.

Inspiration delivers a great iris and vanilla blend, with a tart plum, and nice sandalwood base. It gives you a powdery sweetness, while not being overwhelming, and a solid performance overall.

Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme by Lacoste

In today’s review, we have an entry from the Lacoste women’s line: Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme. This one was released back in 2013. How does this perfume stack up? As usual, I am going to go through its ingredients, when it should be worn, what it smells like, and if it is even worth a try.

My Full Review

The opening of Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme features mainly the pineapple note and the jasmine. There is also a hint of the mandarin orange and bergamot, but it isn’t all that strong.

The pineapple doesn’t strike me as too sharp in this composition, more of just a juice, mixed with that familiar aroma of jasmine. It’s quite light and pretty, with a non-candied sweetness.

Further along, I don’t really get any more of the orange note, but there is orange blossom floral in there. Also, sandalwood and vanilla merge, and give this Lacoste a heart. At this point, it is less fruity than it had been, and much more woody/floral.

This is a simple and linear scent that doesn’t really develop much at all. What I get for most of the wear is: pineapple, jasmine, vanilla, sandalwood with some musky sort of undertones. Within an hour or so, you’ll pretty much know what you’re going to get from Eau de Lacoste.

Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility

Projections wise, the sillage on this one is pretty light and airy. It’s not a completely weak scent, but it’s definitely not a powerhouse. It’s a subtle perfume, that won’t blow the doors off of anything.

The longevity isn’t amazing, but it is a pretty consistent strength throughout. It’ll go into the 5-7 hour range and still maintain that lighter sillage. Most Lacoste fragrances aren’t marathon performers and neither is this one.

Seasonally, spring through summer. It’s bright with the pineapple and citrus along with the floral notes. It’s safe to wear at the office, casually, or as a sort of sporty kind of fragrance. It is pleasant and attractive, but not sexy. This isn’t one that is going to be a nightlife or date night wear.

Overall Impressions of Lacoste Pour Femme

Overall, is Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme a good fragrance? Good? Yes. Simple? Yes. It’s a nice scent, that can be worn in a variety of situations, but it won’t be one that stands out. It is a scent that is very clean and feminine.

If you want a low key, everyday wear, this might be a perfume to consider. However, you’re going to have to like the smell of pineapple and jasmine, for this one to ‘work’ for you.

Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle by Lacoste

Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle was released back in 2013 by the brand. I have probably had a sample of this for 3 or 4 years now, just sitting around, waiting for me to review it. Well, it’s that time apparently, in my race to get caught up on the backlog of scents. How does it smell? When should it be worn? Is it worth a buy?

What does Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle Smell Like?

Notes include: pink pepper, nougat, amber, black currant, rose, sweet pea, and gladiolus

My Full Review

Before I get into my thoughts about this perfume, let’s see how Lacoste describes it: The spirit of Lacoste in a sensual fragrance that captures the natural intensity of soft floral notes.

As I said, I’ve had this sample sitting in a box of them for years now. I’m pretty sure that this fragrance has been discontinued by Lacoste at this point, but I’ll review it for posterity’s sake.

The opening is sweet with just a nice amount of spice and the floral notes peaking through. Yes, that fruity tartness of the black currant is in effect, but I pick up on the nougat right from the get go. It has a slightly creamy and nutty aroma to it.

I do enjoy a good amber and pink pepper note, especially when they’re utilized together. Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle has that and it is used to great effect.

After the initial fruitiness and pink pepper has burned off somewhat, the floral notes really emerge. I honestly cannot distinguish the floral notes all that much from one another, it feels like a generic floral smell. Then again, I have zero familiarity with gladiolus, so that could be a factor.

By the end of the wear, it is a slightly floral nougat aroma that is wrapped in a nice amber note. Sweet, warm, and an inviting gourmand.

Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility

Like many other Lacoste scents, this one isn’t super powerful or a marathon performer. It’s a lighter moderate scent, but actually does better than some of this brand’s other offerings. Overall, it’s going to stay in the 3-5 foot range from the skin.

Longevity is okay. Nothing to write home about, but I get about six hours of solid wear from it, before it evaporates completely. Usable, though, you’ll want to reapply for anything beyond that.

Seasonally, it would fit best in autumn and winter. Then again, it isn’t all that heavy or dense of a fragrance. It could venture into springtime for many folks, just avoid using Sensuelle when the heat and humidity rise.

This could be a daily wear, casual, or more of a romantic/nightlife sort of scent. It isn’t a bold club beast and it also isn’t a formal sort of fragrance. But, it can fit in plenty of scenarios without really drawing unwanted attention.

Sensuelle is attractive and somewhat sexy. Not a complete stunner, but it does draw me in with its yummy sort of vibe.

Overall Impressions of Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle

Do I like this perfume? I do. It smells very nice and feels similar to other designer scents, while not being an exact copy of any of them. Mainly, I think it smells like a mix of Poison Girl and Mon Guerlain. The overlap is there, but again, not a duplication.

The performance is decent, but it could definitely be better. However, if you can still get a bottle for a decent price, I think that it’s a worthwhile one to try based on the smell and its use cases.

Sensuelle was a good release from Lacoste, that didn’t really change the game, but one that you can still get plenty of joy from wearing.
