7 Best Smelling Celine Perfumes

Celine is a luxury brand that has seen a lot of growth over the past decade. Naturally, this means that they’ve also ramped up their fragrance line, which had previously been somewhat spotty.

Nonetheless,  they do now have plenty of good perfume offerings for both men and women to check out. On this page, I will keep my running update of the top scents from Celine and why I think each deserves a spot on the list.

What are the Top Smelling Celine Fragrances?

Palo Santo Delight

Eau de Californie– This is an easy to wear fragrance with Palo Santo, as the main attraction. Woody, a bit sweet, and a hint of burning…but not completely like incense or scorched wood. Which is what you get with this wood in a perfume like, Burning Cherry.

Anyway, there is a bergamot touch, and an orris root which takes on the role of the companion to the Palo Santo.

It starts off more powdery for me, with the orris having the upper hand. It’s mossy, somewhat earthy, but the woods are there throughout and gain in strength.

Dry woods, powdery, with a creamy sweetness at times. The performance isn’t spectacular with Eau de Californie, but wasn’t horrific either. Deserving of a spot on this list.

Unique Green

Reptile– One of the more unique fragrances from the line, but undoubtedly one of the best, for a certain segment of people.

Reptile gives you an amazing and well-crafted blend of leather, moss, and pepper. The opening is a bit strange, though, you will be rewarded with this mix that has a nice amount of spice, fresh musk, and the cedar note that isn’t overly powerful.

Reptile is one that needs to be tested out. Some, aren’t going to like this at all. While others, are going to absolutely adore this Celine scent. The projection here isn’t massive, although it does have a good performance that can hit double digit hours of wear.

Smooth and Powdery Vanilla

Black Tie– Black Tie features a hyper-smooth vanilla accord, that plays well off of the orris root note, giving this an added layer of powder. Yes, it’s one that’s simple and been done before. However, this Celine version is of the utmost quality and absolutely beautiful.

Underneath the vanilla and orris you get just enough cedar to keep things fresh, but those two notes are definitely the stars.

Performance with Black Tie is also great. Strong sillage and longevity that will go all day, if need be. Unisex and classy. There’s also some moss in the mix, but not to the same extent as something like Reptile.

Warm, Light Creamy Vanilla

Zouzou– Zouzou is another option for those who want a vanilla-laden perfume from Celine. This time, we get one that is mainly paired with tonka bean and musk.

But, beyond that we do get some notes in support, early it will be a touch of benzoin. And during the dry down, labadanum will give its distinct amber finish. Still splitting duties with the musk note, however.

Zouzou is a lighter perfume and doesn’t every become a dense or heavy or cloying sort of vanilla. Instead, you get to enjoy the warmth, creaminess, and powdery elements with a lighter clean feeling.

Not super original or complex, but Zouzou is a beautiful fragrance from Celine.

Masculine Summer Scent

Parade– Parade is a simple fragrance, but a great one for the summer months. The perfume is sharp and extremely fresh, with its heavy dose of vetiver underlying the bergamot citrus and neroli top.

Initially, the top two notes make this one a powerful citrus, that doesn’t get super juicy and does finish much drier. Yet, Parade stays balanced between the vetiver and neroli, with the musk and bergamot playing the background later on.

Still technically unisex, but Parade leans much more masculine to my nose versus the other perfumes on the list. Great performance, smell, and nothing too extra added to the fragrance blend.

Lipstick and Powder Classic

Le Peau Nue– Yes, another iris based scent from Celine…it’s a pattern. But, this one gives you more of a floral-centric fragrance than some of the others. Here, it’s iris and rose, with a full on lipsticky type of aroma to it.

Le Peau Nue does get powdery of course, not only from the floral notes, but from an additional ‘rice powder’ note. Which adds a bit of a unique quality to it. But, the main focus is iris and rose, both of which get their time to shine.

This is very smooth and has a timeless classic style to it. It only seems to get its full creamy facets the further into the dry down you go. Le Peau Nue gives you a soft option for day and even some evenings, perfect for iris lovers.

Clean Woods

Bois Dormant– Orris root returns, this time with a fresher and woodier batch of companions. Namely, juniper and cedar.

The powder is there somewhat, but way toned down versus the others. This is more about fresh woods, aromatic juniper berries, and that light citrus sparkle up top. Early on, the vetiver will come through almost equally to the juniper and cedar, but will gradually fade.

Smooth and super clean, Bois Dormant is very easy to wear and would be lovely during the daytime in autumn through early spring. This is the choice who want some iris, but don’t want the same floral dominance as found in Le Peau Nue.

Eilish 1 vs Eilish 2

Billie Eilish has been slowly adding to the Eilish line of fragrances over the past few years. The first three were given a number, instead of a catchy title. The original, has been the most popular, but the sequel (Eilish No. 2) is also one that caught attention.

Eilish No. 1 and Eilish No. 2 are both quite different fragrances from one another, but which of them smells better? Lasts longer? Is the better buy?

Eilish 2 Full Review

Opening

The immediate spray of Eilish EDP delivers a blast of red berries with a hint of mandarin. However, this doesn’t go completely fruity, and those notes are actually minor players in the overall composition.

There is a distinct spiciness here. Cinnamon seems to be the main note, but other ingredients are present as well. It also has an ambery warmth, vanilla cream, and the emerging powdery cocoa aroma.

It is sweet, with its ‘sugared petals’ note. Rose, maybe? There is also something greenish and cold here in the mix. Sort of like menthol with the way it hits, not necessarily a pure mint, but perhaps, geranium? Not listed, but that’s what I get.

With Eilish 2, the fragrance starts off with a punch of black pepper up top that is soaked with a light citrus freshness from the bergamot note. Added to that, a touch of sweetness from the apple blossom.

The floral notes aren’t super heavy in this mix at all. You will catch hints of them at times, but nothing that’s going to dominate the composition.

The main draw here is the palo santo wood. That’s present throughout the wear. Earlier on here, the papyrus adds a further dryness and spiciness to things. The perfume is warm, earthy, and somewhat smoky.

Interestingly, Eilish 2 becomes a bit damp, in the middle and to the end of the wear.

Which is better?

I like both. However, I think Eilish 1 gets to the point quicker with its development. The opening of No. 2 can be too peppery and the fragrance smells better when its woody notes and fully taken over.

Edge: Eilish 1

Projection

On my skin, this feels like it has a pretty bold and far-reaching start. For the first 30 minutes or so, Eilish EDP seems loud and will leave a nice scent trail.

Thereafter, it moderates, but this has a scent bubble that lingers around you. The reach is probably in the 4 to 7 foot range, depending on how much you spray.

Eilish 2 isn’t a heavy fragrance. It’s substantial and noticeable, but more airy than the first one and not as dense.

The reach of either fragrance is about the same for the first hour or so (1 is stronger on opening). Eilish 1 just maintains its projection for longer and has a density to it that surpasses 2.

Edge: Eilish 1

Longevity

I personally get up to 8.5 hours of wear from Eilish EDP. It might go further than that for some folks, but this is what I’ve gotten out of it.

Not a super marathon runner, but a fragrance that is well above average.

Eilish 2 doesn’t hit the same level, but is still pretty decent. It’ll stick around for about 7 hours, on my skin.

Edge: Eilish 1

Versatility

Seasonally, both of these are obviously an autumn and winter wear. Once you’re in the warmer weather, neither is too great to have on. But, maybe some springtime sprays for either should be fine.

Eilish 1 also does skew younger with its sugary sweetness. But it’s one that doesn’t go completely into teen girl mode.

Sure, it fits that demographic, but if you’re older and like sweetness, there is still plenty here for you to like. No.2 is much more unisex and has a more mature profile than does the original.

Eilish could be a daily wear or venture into nightlife. It’s pretty, with that appealing baked goods gourmand style, which is popular with most people.

Meanwhile, No. 2, has a wider daily wear use case for more people. It’s still not a formal fragrance or anything, but it’ll fit in to many different scenarios.

Edge: Eilish 2

Overall Scent

With the first Billie Eilish fragrance, I really do like the opening act. It takes the usual sort of celeb perfumes and adds a nice amount of depth to it.

Takes something familiar and changes it up enough, to make it interesting, without being divisive.

It’s a great dynamic between the warmer spice and then a transition into something cooler.

The back half is fine, just not as captivating as how Eilish 1 starts out.

Eilish 2 is much more polarizing, as a fragrance. This one is decidedly unisex and has, if anything, a more traditionally masculine profile versus the first one in this series.

The black pepper can be intense in the first 30 minutes, you’re going to get plenty of palo santo woody smokiness, a slight sappy and resinous aroma, some light freshness, and creaminess.

Eilish 2 is much more unique and not one that is going to be appreciated by everyone. I do like it, but I think I like what I get from the opening act of the first Eilish perfume a bit more. 1 is the much safer buy and what most would gravitate toward.

The middle and dry down of 2, is less harsh, and a very nice woody fragrance for rather cheap.

Though, I will say, if you’re a palo santo fan or the blend sounds interesting to you…absolutely do try out Eilish 2, because some of you will absolutely love this fragrance. For the rest, the peppery woods might be too much to bear.

Devotion Pour Homme by D&G

Devotion is a newer series for both men and women by D&G. The women’s side of things got a head start, before Devotion Pour Homme was released in 2025. I recently bought a sample of this cologne to test it out and see what it’s all about.

What does it smell like? Does Devotion Homme last long? Is this Dolce & Gabbana fragrance worth a try?

Devotion Pour Homme Overview

Notes include: lemon, coffee, patchouli

My Full Review

Here’s how they describe it: Dolce & Gabbana Devotion For Men Eau de Parfum celebrates unwavering and unconditional devotion, the power of love, and the joy of life. The fragrance, anchored by the timeless Sacred Heart, reflects the essence of a determined man, confidently guided by his instincts.

The opening is a warm roasted coffee note sitting underneath a giant squeeze of lemon juice. The lemon is pretty intense for a few minutes, before fading behind the coffee.

This isn’t really a coffee bean sort of smell or the grounds, this is like a literal interpretation of what a cup of coffee smells like. It’s spiced and given that citrus enhancement, but that’s what is here with this D&G cologne.

So, if you’re not into that, you probably won’t enjoy Devotion. At least the opening act.

A little bit further along, you start to get more of the patchouli note. Even that, isn’t enough to unseat the coffee from being the main focus of this scent.

It begins to be more of a coffee and woody/woodsy sort of aroma. Note sure which wood note is here, but there’s something underneath the patchouli and coffee. Things are still somewhat spicy, but this just seems more like a warm aroma. The lemon is pretty much just a sparkle now.

Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility

The opening spray does have some decent power behind it. It’s not a super heavy coffee blend or anything, but it’s got some reach in that first hour or so.

After that, this Dolce & Gabbana cologne will have a moderate projection, that trends fairly quickly to the lighter end of things.

On my skin, Devotion Pour Homme sticks around for about 7 hours. Nothing amazing with the performance here, but solid enough.

Seasonally, this is an autumn through springtime wear. So long as it’s not too hot or humid out, Devotion should be able to work.

This would be a good fragrance for younger guys, as far as daily wears go. It’s not formal or something that most would wear to the office. Nightlife, would be good. It’s not a massive projector, but its gourmand qualities are attractive.

Overall Impressions of Devotion

Overall, do I like Devotion? I do like it somewhat. I’m not sure what the hate this has gotten is all about, it’s a pretty good fragrance, not amazing but likeable. I guess this is more of a love/hate cologne for a lot of people.

The opening spray isn’t too amazing, but I do think that once the strength of the lemon wears off a bit, it’s an enjoyable enough scent. Just sort of harsh to kick things off. I like the coffee and the slight spiciness of the mix. It does smell like a cup of joe. Then, it softens into something else.

Again, I’m not in love with this one, and won’t be buying a bottle for myself. But, for the time that I’ve had it on, there is enough to like here.

When compared to the other D&G sample that I received, Light Blue Capri in Love, I think that it is a bit better than is Devotion.

If you’re interested I would for sure try to get this when it’s discounted, because I don’t think it’s too worthwhile at retail prices.

Light Blue Capri in Love Pour Homme by D&G

Light Blue is the line that keeps right on going for Dolce & Gabbana, on both the men’s and women’s side of things. 2025’s release is Capri in Love Pour Homme. I recently bought a sample vial of this new cologne to test it out.

How does Capri in Love smell? Does it last long? Is this Light Blue worth a try?

Capri in Love (Men’s) Overview

Notes include: fig, black pepper, patchouli

Click here to try: Light Blue Capri in Love Homme

My Full Review

Here’s how D&G describes it: A dive into the salty sea breeze and golden light of Capri.
Intriguing and enveloping, Light Blue Capri In Love Pour Homme Eau de Parfum opens with the spicy note of Black Pepper. At its heart lies the vibrant and green soul of Capri Green Fig, while Patchouli lends a deep and magnetic elegance, encapsulating the Mediterranean island’s allure.

So, there are only three listed notes here. But, looking at the ingredients there is a light citrus note up top that I’m smelling, which pairs up with the opening spice of the black pepper.

From the jump, you can tell that this one isn’t going to be too heavy and it will have a freshness that is great for the summertime. Very reminiscent of Kenzo fragrances and Paradise Garden (if you stripped it of mint and coconut).

Love in Capri is definitely a departure from the rest of the series. Dolce & Gabbana have done some really different takes on the Light Blue name, like, Vulcano and Stromboli.

Clean, spicy, slightly sweet, and a greenish base is how this Light Blue edition starts out.

Then, it really become fig dominant for the rest of the wear. If you don’t like fig, you’re not going to enjoy this. For me, this is something that I do think I’d enjoy, at least somewhat. A good fig mix for summer, isn’t usually something that the mainstream designers do.

Anyway, it’s basically just fig and a light patchouli the rest of the way. There are some woody undertones popping out as well. A pretty simple use of notes for the warmer months of the year.

But, I do think that this one shines once that black pepper starts to fall off. The green fruitiness of the fig works well.

Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility

This sillage here is a lighter moderate. It’s not weak, it’s just not going to be a heavy thick cloud of scent. Nor should it be. It’s light, clean, and somewhat refreshing. Though, the reach it has with it’s projection is good.

On my skin, this one lasts somewhere in the 6-7 hour range. That’s about what I expect from these D&G Light Blue releases, this edition is par the course.

Seasonally, obviously we’re going spring and summer with this one. That’s what it’s built for.

Within that, though, I think that Capri in Love has plenty of use cases. It can be a daily wear, something casual, or even venture into the nightlife if need be.

Also, this is one that can be worn by any age group. Capri in Love is a well balanced summer cologne.

Overall Impressions of Capri in Love

Overall, do I like Capri in Love? So far, I do kind of like it. I’m not blown away by it, but for what it is, I think this Light Blue edition is nice.

It’s not too complicated of a fragrance and is fairly linear once that fig note kicks fully into gear. If you enjoy the Kenzo scents, K by D&G, etc.; you’ll probably like this one at least somewhat too.

If you’re a fan of the usual Light Blue citrus heavy colognes, this one might not be worth your while.

Either way, I don’t think it’s a great scent. Probably too high priced, at the initial release, but if you want an enjoyable change of pace for the summertime, this can do nicely.

Performance is mid, as usual with the Light Blue fragrances. Yet, it does enough to make it useful.

If you want a simple designer fig cologne, this is a good option. If it doesn’t sound appealing to you, I don’t think it’s going to shock or change your mind, if you try Love in Capri out.

Eilish EDP vs Mod Vanilla

Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande now both have very successful fragrance lines. The Ariana lineup has been around for longer and has more options. But, Billie’s perfumes have already tended to have a more unique style.

But, two of the more popular releases from each brand, are: Mod Vanilla and Eilish EDP. These two are sweeter gourmand perfumes, but which of them actually smells better? Lasts longer? Is the better buy?

The immediate spray of Eilish EDP delivers a blast of red berries with a hint of mandarin. However, this doesn’t go completely fruity, and those notes are actually minor players in the overall composition.

It is sweet, with its ‘sugared petals’ note. Rose, maybe? What is interesting to me is that there is also something greenish and cold here in the mix. Menthol-like with the way it hits, not necessarily mint, but perhaps geranium. Not listed, but that’s what I get.

Mod Vanilla opens with a collection of lighter notes that will eventually fall into the background, though they remain well-balanced even on the first sprays.

The pink freesia becomes immediately apparent alongside the notes of fresh musks. The musk maintains its presence throughout the fragrance’s development, and while I don’t consider Mod overly reliant on this note, it does stand as the most prominent among the three opening accords.

Accompanying these two elements is a subtle plum that introduces an additional tart quality to what is already a fairly sweet composition.

Vanilla makes its presence known and is joined by praline and cocoa butter. The praline emerges as a significant piece, that will define much of this fragrance’s character.

As this opening act transitions, the freesia and plum become considerably softer within the overall blend.

Which is better? While, I like what Mod Vanilla brings to the table early on, I just think that Eilish EDP is the more interesting and has the better start between these two.

Edge: Eilish

Projection

On my skin, this feels like it has a pretty bold and far-reaching start. For the first 30 minutes or so, Eilish EDP seems loud and will leave a nice scent trail.

Thereafter, it moderates, but this has a scent bubble effect. The reach is probably in the 4 to 7 foot range, depending on how much you spray.

With the Grande scent, it’s pretty much the same. I don’t really notice any difference in the peak of their powers and they both behave the same way, after those initial sprays too.

Edge: Push

Longevity

I personally get up to 8.5 hours of wear from Eilish EDP. It might go further than that for some folks, but this is what I’ve gotten out of it. Not a super marathon runner, but a fragrance that is well above average.

Mod Vanilla also keeps up for over 8 hours on my skin, finally becoming undetectable somewhere between the 8.5 to 9 hour mark. For me, at least.

In this category, they are roughly the same.

Edge: Push

Versatility

Seasonally, both of these are obviously an autumn and winter wear. Once you’re in the warmer weather, neither is too great to have on. But, maybe some springtime sprays for either should be fine.

Each also does skew younger with its sugary sweetness. But it’s one that doesn’t go completely into teen girl mode. Sure, it fits that demographic, but if you’re older and like sweetness, there is still plenty here for you.

Eilish could be a daily wear or venture into nightlife. It’s pretty, with that appealing baked goods gourmand style, which is popular with most people.

Mod Vanilla is a sweet perfume, so don’t expect something suitable for formal occasions or office wear.

Mod appeals to a younger demographic, though some older women would certainly appreciate it as well. Mod has a delicious gourmand quality that feels fun, rather than something that is sexy or seductive. The overall vibe is casual and cozy.

I don’t really see too much separation between these fragrances, in this category.

Edge: Push

Overall Scent

So, overall, which of these two gourmand perfumes do I prefer versus the other?

Mod Vanilla? It’s a pretty good release, but still a middle of the road Ariana Grande perfume.  I wasn’t a big fan of Cloud, as of now, I think Mod Vanilla is a bit better than that…just not far and away superior.

If you already like and have Cloud, you probably won’t need to get this one. Different scents, ultimately, but they do a lot of the same.

I like how Mod Vanilla starts off and I like when the vanilla gets going in full.

With the Billie Eilish fragrance, I really do like the opening act. It takes the usual sort of celeb perfumes and adds a nice amount of depth to it. It’s a great dynamic between the warmer spice and then a transition into something cooler.

The back half is fine, just not as captivating. Still, I like Eilish EDP a good deal more than I do the Ariana scent. Mod Vanilla is good, but a notch below with how it smells.

With performance and versatility, these are roughly the same sort of scent. Eilish just smells better.
