Stronger With You vs Versace Eros Comparison

Versace Eros has been one of the most popular fragrances on the market, during this decade, and it appears it will stay that way for a while. However, Emporio Armani’s Stronger With You has come on strong, in its own right.

These two colognes have lots of similarities, but which one smells the best? Which lasts longer? Which is the superior fragrance?

Opening

Eros kicks off with a trio of notes, being: apple, lemon, and mint. The newer bottles of this seem to be stronger on the lemon, and it seems that the vanilla/tonka bean doesn’t come on as strong.

Nonetheless, Eros is a mix of warmth, cool spice, and sharp citrus. It is bold and makes a strong statement, right away.

Update: This latest travel sprayer of Eros is better balanced than it has been in a few years, it’s no longer a heavy lemon opening for me.

Meanwhile, Stronger with You, also has mint; however, it is overshadowed by a stronger warm spicy duo of cardamom and pink pepper. It’s fresh and spicy up top, with vanilla coming in a bit later like Eros, to smooth things out and sweeten.

Which is better? To be honest, the opening act of Stronger with you isn’t all that impressive to my nose. It is much better later on, but up top it’s mostly a cardamom bomb.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but there are better examples and SWY comes across as being sort of messy.

Eros smells more lemony to me, in recent batches, but I still like the crisp energy associated with it.

Projection

Stronger with You does have quite a large sillage. It isn’t one which will require more than a few sprays. I was surprised at how well it projected, and while it’s not obscenely powerful, it does a very good job.

Eros is still a powerhouse. I am of the belief, that the newer bottles aren’t as strong as they once were. Still up there, just not as much so. For instance, the latest little sample that I got, doesn’t hit the same heights as Eros Flame nor an older bottle of Eros that I had.

To me, there isn’t a real winner in this category. I’d say, as it stands now, these two are pretty equal.

Update: This is still pretty much a tie, I might give a slight edge to Stronger, as it seems to sustain the strength for a longer period of time.

Longevity

Both of these fragrances perform extremely well. Stronger with You lasted 9 hours, on my skin. Eros, still goes above 10 hours for me.

Not really a big deal, as both last an entire workday, but Eros has a slight edge.

Update: Newer editions of Eros have taken a step back in terms of performance, in my experience. As such this category is flipping to the Emporio Armani scent.

Versatility

Both are built to perform better in colder weather, both are better for younger men, and both fit more for casual situations. Think nightlife, rather than, the office. For this category, these two colognes pretty much fit the same bill.

Overall Scent

Stronger with You is a good cologne. I enjoyed my experience wearing it. At first, I thought that I wasn’t going to like it, but that changed with the dry down.

It became a great vanilla scented fragrance, with cardamom, some nuttiness, and later hints of herbal notes/woods. The performance is outstanding and I have no major qualms with this scent.

I still like Eros better. I think that it’s lost a step, but the sweet creaminess of tonka bean and vanilla, still gets me. Playing off the mint, apple, and lemon is awesome.

It’s bold and the performance is still somewhat there.

This is a pretty close race, though, Eros still has the upper hand here. I will say, I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these scents, so long as you wear them in the right climate or setting.

Update: I probably still would lean Eros. But, since this original posting, I’d pick SWY Intensely, Absolutely, and Eros Parfum (in that order) before either of these two.

If it’s only between the EDT’s, it’s closer to a toss up for me nowadays. Some of you might actually prefer that stronger vanilla and nuttiness of Stronger with You to what Eros offers.

The Most Wanted vs Most Wanted Parfum

The Most Wanted EDP was a very good release from Azzaro, which naturally followed it up with a parfum concentration, The Most Wanted Parfum.

I have tested out and worn both of these men’s fragrances a bunch and wanted to do a comparison between them to help decide which of them is the better buy. Which cologne smells better? Lasts longer?

Opening

The Most Wanted EDP starts with the same cardamom note as the original Wanted. This note has a slightly lemony aroma already, but The Most Wanted doesn’t actually have the citrus note. It’s fresher, spicier, but less of a sharp sweetness.

Though, the Most Wanted is still sweet with the caramel and Bourbon vanilla note. 

The Most Wanted Parfum begins with that red ginger spice really coming through. A different take from the cardamom note in the EDP. This one, has a spicier profile akin to Wanted by Night with how it packs a punch early on (just trade the cinnamon for ginger).

You still get the toffee note, what they call incandescent woods, to round things out. It’s a crisp spice with a sweetness and a hot smoldering kind of woods which helps to distinguish it from The Most Wanted.

Further along, the vanilla will mostly take over for the ginger and the spiciness will tone down quite a lot.

Which is better? I’ve gone back and forth on this in my mind. However, I’ve started to have a slight preference for that ginger-led opening of Parfum. Not a major advantage, but for now, I’ll take it.

Projection

Both of these are stronger openers that will settle into being in the upper range of moderate with how each of them projects. Neither feels all that heavier than the other.

However, I think that the EDP projects a bit better, than the Parfum concentration. It seems to be one that I can detect a lot easier if I spray it on a shirt and move across the room.

Neither is a weak cologne, but The Most Wanted EDP is a bit better here.

Longevity

The Most Wanted Parfum actually lasts about an hour less than the EDP, at least for me. I get 8-8.5 hours of wear, every time that I’ve tested it out.

They are still pretty close with how long each of these colognes lasts, but the EDP takes this category. 9-9.5 hours seems pretty standard as to what I get with it. It might be capable of a bit more than that too.

Edge: Most Wanted

Versatility

Here these two occupy the same space. Both are better worn in autumn and winter. Neither is a formal fragrance. Both skew younger, without being totally fragrances that only teenagers can wear.

Also, both of them shine in the nightlife. You could wear them daily, just understand that they are sweeter, and not really office fragrances.

With all that said, I don’t really notice much of a distinction here.

Overall Scent

Overall, which of these two fragrances do I prefer? This is really a contest that is neck and neck, as I really enjoy both of these Azzaro colognes a lot.

With Parfum, I really like that smoldering sort of woodiness that I get in the opening act, along with the spice of the ginger.

It’s got plenty of overlap with The Most Wanted EDP, but that opening highlights enough differences for me to prefer it in that period.

After that? I’m less impressed in comparison to the EDP. Once that opening transitions, I don’t find Parfum to be as interesting nor does it smell as good as what I get from the EDP.

The Most Wanted EDP has a slightly better performance too. I really like the caramel and vanilla notes, still flanked by that warmth and spiciness, just to a lesser extent.

This are very comparable scent obviously, so, you probably won’t have a major preference either. For me, I’ll give the win to the EDP.

Luna Rossa Ocean Le Parfum by Prada

The Ocean series from Prada’s Luna Rossa line has gained a lot of popularity over the past few years. In 2024, they released a Le Parfum version of Ocean. I grabbed a sample of it with another order to test this fragrance out and give it a review.

How does it smell? Does it last long? Is Ocean Le Parfum even worth a try?

My Full Wear Review

Ocean Le Parfum starts off as a saffron bomb. That’s the main note, but it actually does take on a bit of a tobacco-like aroma, with the way it blends with the other notes. It’s rich, spicy, somewhat sweet, and smooth.

Lemon essence is around in the opening, you can definitely detect it, but it’s well blended in the mix and not a completely overwhelming or sharp citrus blast.

The lemon essence reminds me of the same way there’s a citrus not in the opening of Spicebomb, except even more subdued in Le Parfum. Has some overlap with Spicebomb Infrared, too.

The base note is oak wood. The sample card says it’s a ‘leathery oakwood’. Nice and this one gets a bit smokier in the dry down, but in the opening it comes across like a woody leather paired with that saffron note.

That amber extreme note is present throughout and this one will dry down into a woody/amber mix. Those two notes with a remaining saffron and leathery aroma on top of that.

At first, I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the dry down, but after a few wears I enjoyed it more.

Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility

This one opens up strong, has some heaviness to it, and a very good projection. That first hour isn’t a complete beast, but it will provide a good amount of power.

It does moderate after that. Though, Le Parfum doesn’t completely fall off the map and is plenty noticeable.

Finally, we have some performance in this line. The longevity isn’t amazing for me with Ocean Le Parfum, but it safely lands in the 7-9 hour range, which is a nice change of pace.

I’ve been quite happy thus far, with how this cologne lasts on skin.

Seasonally, I’d put Ocean Le Parfum in the autumn through spring category. As it gets warmer, I’d save it for the nighttime and probably skip summer altogether.

It does give you plenty of time to wear within that frame though.

This isn’t a completely formal wear, so it might not be a daily office sort of scent for a lot of guys. Outside of that? You will be able to wear it and the warm leathery and spicy kick does lend it to nighttime wear too.

Overall Impressions of Ocean Le Parfum

Overall, do I like Ocean Le Parfum? I do. It’s grown on me, the more that I’ve smelled it. I still like Ocean EDT as my favorite smelling fragrance of the line thus far, but Le Parfum is easily the most unique and best performer.

For others, this could easily be their favorite in the Ocean series so far. Depending on your own personal taste.

It doesn’t have any oceanic vibe though. Not that the others were true aquatics, but this one is different. Not that blueish mix. Which may be a good thing, if you didn’t like the other releases.

Darker, woodier, spicier, with the amber tying it all together. I like the amber here, much more than in Ocean EDP. I also prefer Le Parfum to it overall.

So, in exchange for finally solving the mediocre performances of the first two Luna Rossa Ocean releases, they took things in a new direction. I still don’t absolutely love the smell, but it’s nice to wear sometimes.

I do wish the price wasn’t so high for this one. I don’t think it’s worth the retail, at all. Try to get a bottle at a discounter, if at all possible. Looks like it’s more available now.

I’ve seen bottles of Ocean EDT for almost 50 percent cheaper than this retails for. I’d go for that and just overspray to help try to squeeze some performance out of it.

Some people will love this one and I think that most people would like Le Parfum, as it’s not a difficult fragrance to wear. The saffron really sets it apart.

Angels’ Share Paradis by Kilian

Angels’ Share, the wildly popular release from Kilian has finally got a proper flanker version that has some significant changes from the original here in 2025, Angels’ Share Paradis.

I bought a decant of this newer Kilian perfume in order to test it out and compare it with my bottle of Angels’ Share. How does it smell? Does Paradis last long? Is it actually worth a buy?

Angels’ Share Paradis starts things off with a boozier aroma than the original. The cognac and raspberry liquor are really prominent versus the apple and cinnamon kick that you get with the first Kilian release in this series.

So, it’s more alcoholic, sweeter, and doesn’t have the same spiciness.

The next things that I notice, in terms of differences, are the tonka bean and moss notes.

The moss note hear gives Paradis a fresher and woodsy vibe that the original doesn’t have. Now, the oakmoss isn’t a massive note, but it is a persistent one which plays its smaller role well.

The tonka bean also seems like they added to it in this version of Angels’ Share. The more that I wore this one, the more noticeable the tonka bean was, particularly in the middle act of its development.

Also, there is a Bulgarian rose addition to this. Not too distinct, since it does have a lighter sweetness and greenish touches usually. As such, it blends in pretty well in this mix.

The back half of this feels like the original Angels’ Share with some raspberry lingering around and that moss.  Warm, with oak, and an edible gourmand aroma to it.

Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility

The performance here is exactly the same that I get with Angels’ Share. Tried both multiple times both together and separate. Noticed no difference.

Maybe you could say that the sillage is a bit lighter thanks to the slight freshness of Paradis. To me, not really. The projection is still quite strong when it opens up and it lasts as a moderate perfume for the rest of the way.

Longevity is also in the 9-13 hour range for me. No increase, but they also didn’t manage to screw this up.

Seasonally, this is still an autumn and winter wear. Have tried it on a warmer day and wasn’t feeling the results. I’d stick with the cooler parts of the year.

Still indeed a unisex and very versatile with it. Mass appealing, but maybe you don’t want to wear a boozy scent to the office. Same rules apply as Angels’ Share.

Overall Impressions of Angels’ Share Paradis

Overall, do I like Angels’ Share Paradis? Yes. However, I don’t like it more than the original and that kind of defeats the purpose of me owning a bottle. Especially, at the elevated price point versus what I can get a refill of Angels’ Share for.

It’s different but not greatly so. Plus, the performance is basically the same as what I already get with the first one.

The raspberry is a nice addition and the moss adds a nice touch to the blend, but I’m not too excited about it versus what I already have a bottle of.

I do think it’s worth trying out, if you liked the original. If you can test it out, these differences might make a bigger impact on your sense of smell than it did mine. Angels’ Share Paradis is a very likeable perfume, still great, but a step behind its predecessor in my opinion.

Personally, I’ve wanted to wear my travel sprayer of Smoking Hot by Kilian versus getting a bottle of Paradis. I would grab a full bottle of that or a refill of the original, before shelling out more money for a raspberry version.

Versace Man Eau Fraiche vs Bvlgari Aqva

In today’s cologne comparison, I am going to take a closer look at two summertime wears, Bvlgari Aqva and Versace Man Eau Fraiche. Which of these popular fragrances smells better? Which performs for a longer amount of time? What is the better buy between the two?

Opening

The opening of Bvlgari Aqva consists of seaweed, cedar, and orange citrus notes. This is where the citrus is most prominent in this cologne and it is quite an interesting blend with the sea weed.

It’s unique while also still being wearable for the average person. It’s not too challenging or niche to put off most who will try this fragrance.

Eau Fraiche on the other hand is a cold blast of lemon citrus, that hits immediately with an absolutely fresh and bright aroma. Along with that is the carambola (star fruit), that blends well with that typical Versace lemon note.

Underneath all of that, are the herbal notes and the super freshness of the woods, which will grow in strength later on.

Which is better? I think the Versace is more appealing. Aqva is interesting but that cold lemon of Versace is really crisp and just smells better to me. Plus, I really love star fruit.

Projection

Aqva starts off pretty strong for about 10-15 minutes and then turns into more of a skin scent. However, it does linger around and has moments of intensity through the wear, it’s sort of unique in that way.

Still, it’s not a powerful scent for an overwhelming majority of the wear.

Eau Fraiche is a moderate but is consistently stronger than Aqva. Aqva is stronger at first but Eau Fraiche maintains its course.

Edge: Eau Fraiche

Longevity

Neither one of these is a beast in terms of how long that it lasts. Aqva gives me about 5 hours of wear.

Eau Fraiche is a 6-7 hour wear. The Bvlgari has never been a good performer for me, whenever I’ve worn it in the past.

Eau Fraiche has the better performance between the two, longer lasting and stronger for the duration. It’s still not amazing, but serviceable for a summertime wear.

Edge: Eau Fraiche

Versatility

Both of theses scents are warmer weather colognes and to me, should be worn during this time, and not stray to far from that. Both are clean and casual scents. Eau Fraiche is probably a bit better for dates, but I wouldn’t say that it is explicitly used for those purposes.

There doesn’t seem to be a real leader in this category.

Overall Scent

Honestly, neither of these fragrances are among my favorites to wear. I like both of them but don’t really love either. If I have to choose between the two, I’m reaching for Versace Man Eau Fraiche a lot more often than Aqva.

Aqva is a cool enough scent. It’s got such an oceanic vibe with the sea weed and sea water saltiness, which depending on who you are, might just be right up your alley. I like it’s fresh summery feel and how smooth it is.

There were a few others in the series that were better than the original version. It’s worth trying out, if it sounds interesting to you.

Eau Fraiche has that initial blast of lemon but then shifts to something a bit spicier and woodier as it dries down. The cedar and the herbal spices give it a more defined and enjoyable character.

The longevity is better and I think it is just a more pleasant cologne to wear, in my opinion.
