13 Perfumes Similar to Cloud by Ariana Grande

Cloud by Ariana Grande became a very popular fragrance to buy and try to duplicate, from the popstar (pretty sure it was at least for a time, the best selling one). People really dig its sweetness and lavender and creaminess.

Though, sometimes you also want something cheaper that can smell close to or a slightly different alternative that can provide at least some of what Cloud offers. In this post, I want to present 13 perfumes that smell comparable to Cloud by Ariana Grande.

Some Perfumes that Smell a lot like Cloud

Obviously, beyond the original Cloud, you can also try out Cloud 2.0 and Cloud Pink. All three are similar, with slightly different structures that may appeal to you. Personally, I think both of those are a bit better than the initial Cloud release. As close to an exact ‘dupe’, as you’ll get.

Having said that, please continue below for the rest of the alternatives list.

Inexpensive Near Comparison

Dream Moon by Pacifica– As of now, this seems to be an exclusive to Target stores, which is where I got to experience this one. While the notes are different across the board in Dream Moon, it produces a very similar aroma to Cloud.

Here the notes are listed as pink rose, patchouli, and sandalwood. What else it has beyond that, I haven’t been able to track down. But there has to be some sweeter notes in here. I definitely get plenty of sandalwood and patchouli.

Nonetheless, it is sweet, creamy, and has a nice gourmand quality to it.  A bottle currently runs for around $22 and the performance is actually solid.

Cloudscape Pink

Sweet Pink Cloudscape– This one is the Dua Brand’s take on the formula for Cloud Pink. For those of you who want a slightly different blend then to what the original Ariana Grande Cloud offers.

Sweeter with some fruitier notes up top is what made Pink, a different scent than its predecessor.

I haven’t tried out the Dua version yet, but I’ve owned probably a dozen of their designer alternatives and they usually do a great job. This one, shouldn’t be too difficult to create something very similar to Cloud Pink, while also being a cheaper option.

Cloudy With Strawberries

Pure Sugar by Cosmopolitan– Pure Sugar is a great option than can usually be had for under $30, with a very similar aroma to Cloud, just infused with strawberries. Burberry Her also has a strawberry note, but it is mixed up with other stuff too.

This does lack the musky aspect and the creaminess here seems lighter. But, you get the sweetness (more so, actually), praline, and overall delicious vibe from this fragrance. Fresh with a powdery aroma that comes on in the dry down.

Is it an exact match? No, but if you want something affordable that is probably 80+ percent there, Pure Sugar can deliver the goods.

Another Celebrity Option

Queen by Nicki Minaj– Not exactly the same as Cloud, but Nicki Minaj’s Queen does strike a pretty close chord to what we’re going for.

The pear and bergamot top notes are the same. As is, the musk and wood from the base. However, you’re not going to get the same sort of creamy sweets, coconut, etc. It’s almost a stripped down version of Cloud with a greater focus on the fruity opening and a greater use of musk.

It’s still sweet, just not in the same way. Doesn’t have the same fluffiness to it and is actually better suited for the warmer weather. The bergamot here hits pretty strong in the early stage.

This is a likeable perfume, overlaps with Cloud, just not a full on rendition or anything.

Tropical Sort

Cheirosa 68 Body Spray– This is kind of an odd one, that somehow has a resemblance to Cloud, Baccarat Rouge, and Burberry Her, but it doesn’t exactly duplicate any of them. Cheirosa 68 is also a body spray, so, it will be a cheaper and lighter option.

Still, this one is pretty great for what it is. Sweetness like Cloud and Burberry Her, but also more tropical with dragon fruit and litchi kicking things off.

While also, giving you a musky/aquatic base to work from that can also have that metallic-like aroma that you sometimes pick up with BR 540.

Again, kind of weird how they’re all similar. This one is just a sweeter mix of all three it seems. You’re just going to need to be a fan of candy-like levels of sweetness, because that’s what this can bring, versus what you get with Cloud.

Cherry Mix

Whipped Cherry by Clean- This one from Clean has a lot of overlap with the various Cloud releases (particularly Pink) and BR 540.

What really separates it is the cherry note, which gives this perfume a bit of a different style, while still maintaining a fruity tart/sweetness up top with some included pineapple.

Also, it has almond, the whipped cream, vanilla, and the edible praline aroma that you get with our Ariana Grande scent.

A creamy cherry and pineapple blend with that same sort of fluffiness and the warmer dry down that’s not as sweet and closer to Baccarat (but not the same). If you want a cherry version of Cloud, this is a great option.

The Kardashian

Opal Drip by KKW– Prices seem to be all over the map for this Kim Kardashian fragrance, but I have seen it for cheaper than Cloud before. That may or may not be the case, whenever you’re checking.

Anyhow, yep, this one really strikes a close comparison to Cloud. More so than the Nick Minaj above and Burberry Her, for instance. It’s kind of close to In the Stars (listed below).

This has a sugary aspect to hit, but opens up with an herbal aroma sitting underneath. This one has more of a focus on the lavender note versus the praline and coconut that you get with the Ariana scent.

Dries down with lavender, amber, musk, and other floral notes. But, much of the sweetness remains, just in a more presentable form.

A Cloud of Cherry

Seductive Red by Guess– This Guess perfume is one that has a similar style to Cloud, but doesn’t try to get the smell exactly right. In fact, this one does have it’s own distinct aroma, just a closely related one.

The most noticeable difference, is going to be Seductive Red’s use of a juicy cherry note. Along with that, the opening will have a nutty influence from almond, that pairs extremely well with the vanilla in the base, along with the cherry.

Still, the lavender and vanilla dry down provide some of that Cloud-like fluffiness and the sweetness is always around, just different from the Ariana perfume. Warm and not a crazy sugary rush sort of sweetness.

For the price range (around $20), this is a really great pick up.

Higher End Sweetness

Manege Rouge by Al Haramain for Women 2.5 Oz / 75ml Eau de Parfum So, Manege Rouge isn’t going to be one if you’re looking for a cheaper comparable of Cloud. However, in many ways it is a more well put together fragrance, for those who might want to upgrade.

It’s not as thick as Cloud, though the performance isn’t bad. The opening act is a blend of sweetness and floral notes, led by saffron. The saffron adds a fresh and almost leathery quality to the mix.

Then, there is the caramel and cotton candy coming through to provide the light sugary sweetness with a pinch of salt. More mature with greater depth than the Ariana Grande scent (also see: Best Ariana Grande Perfumes).

Sugary Citrus and Saffron

Ajmal Aristocrat, 2.5 Oz A bit more like Manege Rouge, listed above, versus Cloud. However, this one still has plenty of similarities including the sweetness, just with a greater use of citrus notes up top.

Not too complex of a scent. Early on it is fruity and sugary. Then, there is the saffron note and a somewhat musky dry down.

Again, not an exact smell alike of Cloud, but could potentially be another option. Though, it probably won’t save you any money versus the Ariana scent.

Bath and Body Works Alternative

Bath and Body Works In The Stars Eau de Parfum 1.7 Fluid Ounce New In Box In the Stars is another one that is very close to having a comparable aroma to that of Cloud. Though, this Bath and Body Works fragrance is a bit lighter and for sure fruitier than our target.

It is warm and sweet in the base with a creamy sandalwood note and very nice amber. One of the main differences with Cloud is the lack of a lavender note in this one.

Which, depending on your personal feelings about that note, may be good or bad. I know some thing that the lavender and musk in Cloud, gave it a more masculine vibe.

That isn’t an issue here. The citrus led by tangerine is really nice and helps to give In the Stars a somewhat fresher aroma than when compared with Cloud.

A Bit Like Burberry

Burberry Her Eau De Parfum Spray Cloud often gets compared to Baccarat Rouge 540 by Francis Kurkdijian. That is indeed another alternative, but is an insanely expensive one.

Well, Francis is also the designer of this Burberry fragrance…which smells a lot like both Cloud and Baccarat.

Though, they aren’t exactly the same. Burberry Her goes more into the fruity side of things. Berries and citrus. Particularly strawberry and raspberry, to my nose.

It doesn’t dry down nearly as sweet, it gets woodier with a touch of sugar and some more musky/earthy notes poke through. Not an amazing fragrance, but another similar option to Cloud. Read my Full Review

Inexpensive VS Mist

Victoria’s Secret Midnight Bloom Fragrance Mist 250ml/8.4 fl. oz. Midnight Bloom is a body mist from Victoria’s Secret that sort of splits the line between Cloud and BR 540.

Note upfront, that you’re definitely not going to get the depth with a body spray. It’s going to have a somewhat similar effect, at rock bottom prices.

It’s sweet and woody with a floral heart. Almost like a vanilla candy during the dry down period, as it were. The wood notes aren’t too prominent, either and it’s more of a generic white floral note, versus anything specific.

Again, another cheapie option, in body spray form. To me it leans more Cloud than Baccarat Rouge, but that opening does have that same sort of character…just devoid of any saffron.

Goddess EDP by Burberry

Goddess is one of the newer releases from Burberry, that came out in 2023. It wasn’t a perfume that I had heard much about going into testing, but I bought a sample anyway to check it out. How does this one smell? Does it last long? Is it worth a try?

What does Goddess EDP Smell Like?

Notes include: lavender, vanilla, cacao, ginger, vanilla absolute, vanilla caviar

My Full Review

Here’s how Burberry describes it: Burberry Goddess is a unique gourmand fragrance led by a confident and powerful multi-faceted trio of vanillas. Enriched with a luminous lavender top note, the scent exudes a rich, layered personality that’s instantly memorable.

So, upon spraying this one I’m immediately hit with a wonderful gourmand aroma. Fresh and not overbearingly heavy, however. The ginger does a nice job at breaking up the vanilla dominance.

Ginger and a cacao note add a great mix to the aroma early. Goddess feels cold with a lightness that I enjoy. I’ve seen this get compared to Mon Guerlain, but they’re are not the same, while having a similar style.

I mean, in the dry down, both are all about that lavender and vanilla. Still, smell differently. But, this one  also doesn’t have jasmine, tonka bean, or patchouli. Cacao and tonka bean, play a similar role…but aren’t exactly the same and don’t have the same aroma.

The lavender also begins to show itself early on. It’s really tamed by all of the vanilla. I was worried that this might take a Libre path, with the lavender, but the note is balanced quite well in Goddess.

It’s interesting that there are three types of vanilla in this perfume. Can I tell them apart? I mean, not really. The ginger burns off and the middle is more about the lavender and vanilla pairing.

The very tail end of the perfume is a vanilla-centric scent. Though, it feels like a standard creamy vanilla note. So, I’m not getting any real distinction between the types.

Burberry Goddess isn’t very complicated and there isn’t really any development here, after this point.

Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility

Goddess is not a massive projector or one that is super heavy. You’ll get an intimate scent bubble for most of the wear a decent radius of reach in the early goings.

It’s not weak, solidly moderate, until the last few hours of wear when it becomes a skin scent.

The longevity is somewhere in the range of average. For me, it was 6-6.5 hours of total wear from this Burberry. It’s okay, not great.

On clothing, you will get 3+ more hours, but it doesn’t seem to want to stick to skin. My skin, isn’t the type that ‘eats up’ fragrances either. I routinely get 10+ hours from other scents.

Seasonally, I do think that this fragrance isn’t too heavy or cloying, that it gets stuck solely in the autumn or winter. On a moderately warm spring day, I think that Goddess would hold up just fine.

I would skip out on wearing this in the heat, though.

It’s strength is with its versatility. It isn’t hyper sweet or too bold, so, it’s safe for most occasions. It’s attractive enough for the nightlife, even if you might want to go with something more dynamic.

It’s attractive and somewhat sexy, so, you could spray it before a date as well. Goddess isn’t the most formal fragrance, maybe have something else for really ‘dressy’ situations.

It also works for a wide age range. Not too mature for the younger set, but not too juvenile for older women either.

Overall Impressions of Goddess EDP

Overall, do I like Goddess by Burberry? I do like it. It’s not anything that’s crazy unique or complicated, but it is a mainstream perfume that is going to do well and have plenty of fans.

The name doesn’t really fit, what the actual scent is. You might expect something bolder, sexier, etc. Not to say this is a bad perfume, it certainly isn’t.

I like the opening and how it keeps things fresh and light. Not a heavy or overbearing use of the vanilla and lavender, just quite pleasant to spray on.

It’s not a great performer, though. For me, it’s okay, pretty standard issue. On skin, it’s probably not going to go past six hours for most people.

But, if that’s not too much of a problem for you, Goddess is worth trying out. Maybe test it in store or wait for the price to hit discount levels, over the next year or so.

If you’re not a vanilla and/or lavender fan, I don’t think there’s anything here that would change your mind. As such, you can also probably skip this initial Goddess release.

Prada Paradoxe vs YSL Libre

Libre and Paradoxe are two perfume series which have gained popularity over the past handful of years or so. Paradoxe is the newer of the two, having only spawned one other flanker, as of writing. Libre is a bit deeper in the game, with a few more scents released under its belt.

Since these two are so popular, I wanted to do a direct comparison posts of the original releases of each. Which smells better? Lasts longer? Is the better buy, Libre or Paradoxe?

Tale of the Tape: Paradoxe vs. Libre

Paradoxe

Notes include: neroli, pear, tangerine, bergamot, orange blossom, white musk, jasmine, vanilla, amber, benzoin

Libre EDP

Notes include: lavender, white musks, orange flower, vanilla, orchid

Read my review: Libre EDP

Opening

Libre kicks of with a strong burst of the orange blossom (maybe some additional citrus fruit spritzed in) and the lavender, which will only grown more powerful. It’s soapy, somewhat musky, and has a definite creaminess throughout.

The main change that I get during the rest of the wear is the lavender becoming dominant and the musk coming out more. Very little orchid when compared to Intense and the vanilla isn’t a front and center.

Paradoxe opens up sweet, fruity, and luminous. The neroli is going to be a major factor in that first half of the hour, as the floral note.

But, on me, that quickly shifts more into the orange blossom’s direction, as we enter the middle act.

The fruitiness comes across more like an artificial candy versus a pure natural fruit. Some sparkling pear is in the mix, but lots of citrus influence (tangerine is the most powerful fruit, early) for the start of Paradoxe.

This will become more floral after the opening burst. Again, for me I get more orange blossom, even versus the jasmine. Neroli still has a presence, but the orange blossom is stronger at this point.

Which do I prefer? To me, I’ll go with Paradoxe. Both have strong uses of orange blossom, but I like the pairing of that floral note with the fruits of the Prada. It’s more pleasant than what I get with the YSL.

Not a massive preference for Paradoxe, but it does have the edge here.

Edge: Paradoxe

Projection

Libre has a strong opening, for a mainstream designer perfume. Not super heavy, but plenty of substance and a wide radius, in which it will be smelled. The rest of the wear, is on the stronger side of what can be considered moderate.

Paradoxe opens up a notch below Libre and stays firmly in the moderate camp the rest of the way.

Still, Libre has the higher highs and is stronger for much of the duration. Until those last few hours, where these two are about equal.

Edge: Libre

Longevity

With Libre EDP, I’ve always gotten 8-9 hours during testing, pretty much without fail. That version of the perfume doesn’t seem to go beyond that, but also not below it either.

Paradoxe is close to the same, but has a slightly higher ceiling than the YSL. I get 8.5-10 hours with Paradoxe, on skin.

It’s not by a massive margin, but the Prada takes the win here. Yes, Libre is stronger with its projection, but Paradoxe keeps on just a bit longer.

Edge: Paradoxe

Versatility

Both of these are very versatile daily wear sorts of fragrances. I don’t either of them would be the top choice for nightlife or date night use.

Seasonally, Libre fits in better for cooler autumn and winter. It can venture into the spring as well. Paradoxe isn’t built for the heat, but it performs deeper into the warmer season.

Maybe the advantage comes with Libre, the lack of sweeter notes, and it’s ability to fit into more semi-formal/office wear situations. Other than that, they’re about equal.

Edge: Libre (slightly)

Overall Scent

Overall, which of these two fragrances do I prefer?

I’m not a massive fan of either of these fragrances. Each of them is fine. I prefer Libre Intense, to the original, and Paradoxe never struck me as amazing.

However, between these two, I’m going with Paradoxe.

Libre is nice enough. It’s much more of a floral focused scent. The dry down is going to be about the lavender note, with orange blossom at its side. Some vanilla, musk, etc. If you’re a lavender fan, you should consider it.

Paradoxe’s opening I’ve already explained, but the balance in the dry down makes me want to choose it versus the YSL. It pairs the orange blossom with jasmine. Clean and somewhat soapy. But, you still get some of the sweetness from earlier, and the vanilla/amber base.

The performances are close enough, to be somewhat equal, and sort of cancels out any other advantage.

Winner: Paradoxe

9 Best Jasmine Scented Perfumes for Women

Jasmine is one of the most popular ingredients, in all of women’s perfumes. In fact, its present in a majority of ladies’ fragrances, on the market. Its use is absolutely insane in terms of scale. However, most of the perfumes, have a light touch of the floral note.

In this post, I want to take a closer look, and present some options for those women who are looking for a jasmine scented perfume where it is dominant. In the end, I have selected 9 scents which, give their own unique take on utilizing this note.

What are the Top Jasmine Fragrances for Her?

Designer Jasmine

Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge eau de parfum for women 1.7 oz– Jasmin Rouge opens up with a very nice blend of citrus, with spice provided by a pretty distinct cinnamon, and ginger note.

Obviously, this is surrounding the main attraction of jasmine, along with some other lighter floral ingredients such as neroli.

It has a very pleasant aroma, especially with the great bergamot note, at the top. After that initial layer quiets, the spices become more pronounced, but are continually rounded out by the floral notes, amber, and later woods.

The jasmine here is awesome and it never gets overshadowed by the other notes in the composition. Jasmin Rouge has really solid performance and at times a somewhat sweet profile. My Full Review

And Fruit

Jasmin des Anges by Dior– As a part of Dior’s Privee collection, Jasmin des Anges isn’t going to come cheap. The best alternative that’s somewhat similar is the Michael Kors perfume listed below.

However, the jasmine note in this one is great. It is flanked and balanced by apricot, bergamot, and osmanthus notes. A good amount of sweetness between the white floral note and the fruits.

The initial blend is a mix of our target and the citrus brightness of a fairly light bergamot. It takes on more of a peach quality with the apricot and even the osmanthus to some extent.

Fresh, fruity, soft. Yet, Jasmin des Anges is still well put together and doesn’t come across as childish.

Awesome Jasmine Perfume

JO MALONE LONDON Jasmine Sambac & Marigold Cologne Intense 100 ml.– This is a warm blend of the two obvious notes, jasmine and marigold, along with an additional ylang-ylang to complete the bouquet. Although, that note isn’t nearly as strong as the other two.

The marigold is strongest in the beginning of the wear and the jasmine will emerge to take over the composition. It is a very powerful use of that note, with a deep and rich aroma.

Beyond that, the ylang-ylang and honey note gives Jasmine Sambac & Marigold, a creaminess while not being too heavy.

It is interesting in that this is more of a cooler to mild weather wear. Not going to be much of a summertime jasmine perfume. Though, one should easily get plenty of use from this Jo Malone scent.

Citrus and Jasmine

Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir L’eau Exquise Eau de Toilette Spray for Women 2.5 oz From the Bvlgari line, you could go with Mon Jasmin Noir or Jasmin Noir or L’eau Exquise, which I’ve linked above.

I am combining all of them into one entry, because each brings something to the table, in uniquely presenting a jasmine note.

L’eau Exquise is a cirus/tea blend with jasmine, quite nice, but much more citrusy. This is a great fragrance for the summer months, as it strikes the right balance between pomelo/grapefruit and the other naturalistic notes.

L’Eau Exquise does a wonderful job withstanding humidity and the higher temperatures.

Update: Exquise has been discontinued and the remaining bottles are priced way too high. Try one of the other Jasmin Noir scents instead.

Newer Entry

Jasmine Musc by Narciso Rodriguez– This is a very nice jasmine focused perfume from Narciso Rodriguez that was released not too long ago.

Jasmine Musc, actually starts out with more of a blend between our target, tuberose, and ylang-ylang. That initial tuberose influence can lead to that sweeter ‘bubble gum’ sort of effect.

However, the jasmine will be the note that sticks around and grows in strength out of the floral notes.

The musky aspect is actually kind of balanced with the vanilla note. The latter stages is a somewhat powdery blend of those two ingredients with the jasmine having the spotlight. Still, unless you want a massive musk note, this is really great stuff.

Simple Floral Blend

Aerin Ikat Jasmine Rollerball– Ikat Jasmine is a fresh and clean jasmine, which is flanked by a few other white floral notes, and a creamy sandalwood undertone. The dry down with the jasmine and sandalwood, really pairing together, is a highlight.

This one is much softer and doesn’t have the spice of something like Jasmin Rouge or the citrus of some of the Bvlgari’s,

Ikat, is a rather simple floral but one which delivers a beautiful jasmine note. This Aerin Lauder perfume flies under the radar, but really gives a fine example of our target ingredient.

Natural Feminine Jasmine

Acqua Di Parma Eau de Parfum Spray, Gelsomino Nobile, 3.4 Ounce– It opens up with a pretty strong tuberose, before the jasmine takes over later on. That tuberose is joined by a light citrus fruit and orange blossom, with just a bit of pink pepper in there, as well.

The sillage of Gelsomino Nobile, isn’t particularly strong, but it does stick around well enough, as a much lighter fragrance. The perfume is lovely, but the strength could have been boosted up a bit more than that.

It finishes off with a earthier sort of blend, with the citrus notes fading into the background. It does have a great deal of freshness, with that cedar note holding down the base. Very good jasmine, that brings a more floral weighted aroma, than the citrus in something like the Bvlgari listed above.

Best Overall Jasmine Note

Serge Lutens A La Nuit Eau De Parfum Spray 50ml/1.69oz– A La Nuit is a simple yet interesting scent, with a fantastic jasmine note. It also features honey and benzoin, as the other two main aromas.

The honey adds a light sweetness to the perfume, but it isn’t a thick and heavy sort of honey note.

The jasmine is fairly green but quite naturalistic and probably one of the top examples of that note, on the list. As it dries down, this Serge Lutens, becomes much more floral dominated but still a light fragrance.

At times, it is sweet. Then, it becomes greenish, like a field of jasmine, coming after the rain. A La Nuit is a blend of different types of jasmine, but it comes together, oh so well. Can be harder to track down, but there are bottles available.

Blended Mass Appeal

Michael Kors Glam Jasmine Eau de Parfum Spray for Women, 3.4 Ounce– Glam Jasmine starts off more as a generic white floral fragrance, with a black currant note, lurking in the background with its tart juiciness.

As you move on in the wear, the jasmine note fully emerges from the pack and asserts itself. This is clean and easy to wear, not the most amazing fragrance ever, but a nice jasmine for daily wear. Plus, not a bad price.

This Michael Kors scent does have a very positive and upbeat sort of vibe. It’s probably sweeter than any other entry on the list, but I like the jasmine here.

Inexpensive Pure Jasmine Fragrance

Jasmine Cologne Spray Women by Demeter, 4 Ounce– So, Demeter puts out these fragrances based on one note in particular, which can be hit or miss. The jasmine is actually one of the better fragrances that they have.

This is a great and surprisingly natural smelling jasmine note. The sillage and longevity are decent, but the price for a bottle, is a steal based on the scent you get in return.

There you have it. The list of the best smelling jasmine fragrances for her. I will come back and update this list as needed, but this should be enough to get anyone started, and finding a great perfume to wear.

14 Perfumes that Smell Similar to Good Girl

Good Girl by Carolina Herrera has become a massive seller over the past few years. Whether it is just the smell of the perfume itself or the high heel bottle that it comes in, it has garnered plenty of fans in a short span of time. Nonetheless, people will be looking for cheaper alternatives or other fragrances which smell like it or at least in a similar ballpark.

In this post, I want to present an ongoing list of options for those who enjoy GG, but want to find an alternative.

Fragrances that Smell Quite Like Good Girl

Cheaper Dream

Miss Dream by La Rive– If you want a really inexpensive option, that is a near comparable scent of Good Girl, then Miss Dream is it. One of the main differences, is the lack of nuttiness, in this one. There is some, but not to the same extent.

Miss Dream is fairly sweet, more sheer, and does have a lovely creamy vanilla/tonka bean combination. The tonka bean feels particularly strong.

Nonetheless, it actually settles into a very nice perfume that is a close impression of what we’re after. The performance isn’t great, but at around $15 per bottle, it’s serviceable.

Dossier Almond

Fruity Almond- If you want a pure attempt at something similar to Good Girl,  Fruity Almond from Dossier can fit the bill very well. Plus, it is very affordable, even among the other cheapies on this list.

It gives you a peachy opening, that is met quickly by the almond and orange blossom notes especially.  Next, comes the tuberose and tonka bean to provide the GG experience.

Most closely styled after or ‘inspired’ perfumes don’t 100% capture the same beat for beat development of the designer original. Though, the Dossier scents get it about as close as you can expect, and the end result smells great.

Blushing Girl

Pretty Girl Blush by Fragrenza– So, Fragrenza actually has two options which are ‘inspired by’ the Carolina Herrera fragrances. One is based on the original Good Girl formula, and the other, is based on Blush.

Good Girl Blush is a newer flanker of the original, that some might be looking for an alternative of.

It’s got more in the way of citrus and vanilla. Top notes still include the pear, along with: bergamot, mandarin, and grapefruit.

The good news is that you can try both of the “Pretty Girl” fragrance options, since they have 3ml sizes available to buy for cheap.

Another Femme Fatale

Femme Fatale by Oakcha– Another option that is inspired by and tries to mimic what you get with the Carolina Herrera perfume.

Now, I haven’t tried any fragrances from this brand as of yet. But, they do have a good reputation from what I’ve read. I’m adding Femme Fatale to the list for those who want to possibly try another similar perfume to Good Girl.

The notes line up and the current price (as of writing) is at $30 per bottle. Can’t be too far off.

The Zara Option

Deep Garden– Zara’s tuberose infused fragrance bears a lot of resemblance to our popular target scent. Deep Garden is a trimmed down version, that is sweeter and less reliant on the spicy notes than Good Girl.

You start things off with a sparkling pear note, creating a similar effect to the citrus found in GG.  Tonka bean instead of pure vanilla, but it can come across as smelling the same.

To me, this one is lighter, and kind of sheer with how it comes across. Not an exact match, but inexpensive, and striking a close chord.

Fruitier without Almond/Coffee

Floratta Red- This one from Boticario has lots of overlap with the Carolina Herrera perfume, particularly in the floral notes.

Tuberose, orange blossom, and jasmine are all here. With that you also have fruity note and a base featuring chocolate sweetness and amber.

What you don’t get? The almond and the coffee notes. So, it is a bit stripped down in that regard, when compared with our target.

It altogether feels fruitier and somewhat more of a floral than Good Girl. Decent performance, but the price varies from what I’ve seen, as it isn’t as widely available.

Different Start, Similar Dry Down

I Want Choo– This Jimmy Choo has peach and mandarin notes up top, with the peach being the stronger of the two throughout the wear. It doesn’t have the almond, coffee, and cocoa notes and instead goes with vanilla and benzoin.

So, you’ll get a fruity vanilla start to I Want Choo. The floral notes in this one are also dominated by the jasmine, which splits some of the duties with a red lily note.

The latter stages are where this perfume really overlaps with Good Girl. Jasmine and vanilla, while GG goes with jasmine and tonka bean. The Choo has more of a sparkling fruit accord up top and a resinous finish.

Nice performance and probably smells a bit better, in my opinion versus the Carolina Herrera. I Want Choo Review

Very Good Alternative

Angel Nova by Mugler- Going beyond just the original version of the scent, here’s another perfume that comes across much like Very Good Girl.

Raspberry and litchi are very bold together at the start and pretty prevalent throughout the wear. It gets further depth from rose and benzoin, which make themselves more known after that initial start.

Not necessarily better than the Carolina Herrera option, but it is one to check out if you like this sort of intense fruity/floral style.  Angel Nova review

Overlaps with, But Not an Exact Relative

Armani Code– Armani Code is similar to Good Girl, but definitely not exact. Good Girl is sweeter overall, while Code has a bit more citrus, earthiness, and spice to its composition.

The spiciness isn’t heavy, it is from a ginger note and some patchouli. The dry down is creamier and warm, with a gentle and refined sweetness.

Jasmine, honey, and the vanilla note. The citrus isn’t as pronounced towards the end, but it remains there. Very versatile and good daily wear.

Fresh and Herbal

Boss Alive– Boss Alive is a newer release from Hugo Boss that certainly favors GG. However, this one isn’t as sweet but has more of a crisp juiciness and tartness, thanks to apple and plum.

Actually, I’m a bit reminded of their Boss Bottled No.6 for Men, due to that apple and cinnamon. Obviously, not the same, but I can certainly detect the similarities.

Boss Alive isn’t as floral and isn’t nutty like our target scent, it has an herbal and woody quality. There isn’t too much overlap in terms of notes, especially at the top, but the base notes are very alike. Thus, you get a similar effect without a 1 to 1 scent profile.

Similar Notes, Different Weighting

Libre Intense by YSLVanilla and citrus are common overlaps between Libre Intense and Good Girl. Most of the similarities however, will come from the floral notes.

Jasmine and orange blossom, when paired with the vanilla and ambergris, is when this is at its closest to GG.

Is it really close? Not really. But this can be a good alternative, sort of in the same grouping between Boss Alive and Good Girl. Expect more citrus and lavender in this one, it’s really the secondary layers during the perfumes development, that resembles the Carolina Herrera.

Maximum Cheapie

Maxima by Avon Jasmine and citrus and other fruity notes, lead this one. Maxima really does resemble being a mix between Good Girl and Olympea (listed below). Not as complex, as either, more sheer but with a good performance for the price.

The dry down is more floral than GG, but it still keeps up the sweetness throughout. If you don’t need the tonka, coffee, and cacao that GG has…this can be a really nice alternative of the perfume.

A Cousin in Perfumery

Olympea by Paco Rabanne– This is another possibility, that isn’t going to smell exactly alike, but does inhabit the same sort of space as Good Girl does. Olympea, gets you plenty of vanilla, amber, jasmine, and orange.

Combined with a similar base and it produces a scent that is in the same ballpark. This and Olympea Intense are more heavily weighted toward the amber note, with vanilla, and a saltiness. Sweet, salty, warm, and floral.

Dreams

Coach Dreams Sunset– The flanker to the original Coach Dreams, Sunset has a pretty similar but not exact style like our target. Actually, to me this is closer to Good Girl Legere than the original.

This opens up with a frozen pear sorbet note, bergamot, tonka bean and vanilla. So, even from the start you get the overlapping bergamot and tonka bean, with a similar structure to GG and Legere.

The floral notes are the same jasmine note, but Dreams Sunset goes with a magnolia also, which is actually the stronger of the two.

This fragrance is sweet and creamy, with a cold and delicious opening act. Later, it is going to be all about the magnolia and jasmine notes, wrapped in a creamy vanilla/tonka bean blanket. Coach Dreams Sunset Review
